Thanatology is a class that has interested me in so many different ways. The speakers that have come in have enhanced my knowledge about other religions and what they think death means to them and how they deal with it. It has opened my eyes to view death extremely different. I am not as afraid of the thought of death like I used to be. It was something that, like most people, I would try to act as if death didn't exist and never really wanted to talk about the subject at all. Slowly I have learned that it is just part of life and you have to accept it no matter what. The readings have led to actually read a whole book because I am so caught up in the story. The writings have allowed me to break out of my shell and freely write whatever pops up in my head. After reading Tuesdays with Morrie has made look out on life differently as a whole; not just about death but all the other important things in life such as love, compassion, and the meaning of life. Its a class everyone should take because its more than just the subject of death and dying, it goes way beyond to other important aspects in life.

“Be compassionate to yourself and others, to love yourself and others, and to take responsibility for yourself and others.”

This Is Me
I am Breeana Biazevich and I am unique. I have my own opinions, thoughts, feelings and out look on life. I am straight forward and try to be as honest as I can. People can hate me or love me, but it wont change who I am to myself. I like to be independent and helpful to others.I like to live life to the fullest with tons of laughs, love, memories, and smiles. I like to try new things and build new friendships that will last forever. I am a person dedicated to my family who is extremely important to me as being the oldest and the one my siblings look up to the most. I would have to say I create a pathway for my younger siblings to make the right choices and for me to tell them what to do in the mistakes I have made. The world is full of siblings who have younger ones just like me. It's an inspiring thought to me because I can set good examples and be a good influence on making my siblings life funner, better, and insightful. In my life right now I am content. I couldn't ask for a better support system and the love I receive. My friends are right there with me in everything I do and I am with them in whatever they do. I consider them my extended family. My path is pretty clear. I know what I need to do in order for my goals to be accomplished and become successful in my future. Life is going to have bumps and bruises, but its the satisfaction of knowing that I will do what it takes to be able to over come them and come out on top in the end.
